§ 54-15-3. Security freeze -- Request in writing -- Certified mail -- Designated address -- Third party

A person may place a security freeze on that person&rsquos credit report by making a request to a consumer reporting agency in a manner designated by the consumer reporting agency to receive a request for a security freeze. This section does not prevent a consumer reporting agency from advising a third party that a security freeze is in effect with respect to the consumer&rsquos credit report.
