Cases | Schotsch v. State, 670 So. 2d 127 (Fla. Dist. Ct. App. 1996) | 2018

The defendant pled nolo contendere to three counts of dealing in stolen property and was ordered to pay restitution as a condition of parole after serving 23.5 months in prison. On appeal, he made three arguments, two of which were not properly preserved because he did not make timely objections. The third argument was that there was not substantial evidence to support the amount of restitution ordered. The court of appeals disagreed and affirmed the order of restitution.
