If irreparable injury could result to an Elder or Vulnerable Adult from abuse, neglect, exploitation, or abandonment if an order is not issued immediately and without prior notice to the respondent, the court may grant (in-person or by telephone) an ex-parte temporary order for protection, pending a full hearing, and grant relief as the court deems proper, including an order:
(1) Restraining any party from committing acts of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or abandonment
(2) Excluding any party from the dwelling shared or from the residence of the other until further order of the court
(3) Restraining respondent from removing petitioner from the jurisdiction of the court and
(4) Prohibit contact between the parties.
Irreparable injury under this section includes but is not limited to situations in which the respondent has recently threatened petitioner with bodily injury or has engaged in acts of domestic violence against the petitioner. Procedures regarding hearing, service and execution of order, and violation of order shall follow the provisions in Section 27-12 ELDER AND VULNERABLE ADULT PROTECTION ORDER.
