§ 14-30.10. Additional Fine for certain offenses against children

Any person who pleads guilty, nolo contendre, or who is convicted of any crime described in article V (sexual assault), article VII (crimes against children), or any crime in article IX (crimes of bodily injury) applicable to a child as a victim, regardless of the form of judgment and sentence, shall be ordered by the court to pay an additional fine of $500.00. The fine shall be paid to the Heart to Heart Child Advocacy Center and placed in the Centers budget under a separate line item. The money received from such fines shall be used to further the objectives and programs of the Center. If there is money left in this line item at the end of the fiscal year, the money shall stay within the Centers budget and not returned to the general fund.
