(a)

It shall be unlawful for any person to leave any child under the age of 12 years locked or otherwise confined in any dwelling, building, enclosure or vehicle and go away from such dwelling, building, enclosure or vehicle without leaving some person of the age of discretion in charge of the same, so as to expose the child to danger by fire.

(b)

Exposing children to fire shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $250.00, by a term of imprisonment not to exceed three months, or both.
