The provisions of this Chapter are civil and regulatory in nature and are intended to provide assistance and protection to elders and vulnerable adults who may be at risk of abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation.  This Chapter does not affect any applicable provisions of Title II of this Code. (Rev. 4-15-03)
