(a) It shall be unlawful to take, drive or operate anothers motor vehicle, motorcycle, bicycle, or wheeled conveyance without the consent of the owner, with the intent to temporarily deprive the owner of its use or possession.
(b) Unauthorized use of a vehicle shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $5,000.00, by imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months, or both.
(c) If the vehicle sustains damages while in the custody, possession, or under the control of the person violating this section, the violator shall be required to make double restitution of the amount of the actual damage to the vehicle.
