A. A person commits the offense of Forgery by knowingly and falsely signing, making, completing or executing, issuing, transferring or altering any writing or instrument. B. A person convicted of Forgery shall be guilty of a Class 1 offense and shall be fined an amount not to exceed $5,000.00, or imprisoned for a term not to exceed one year, or both.
