27-9.02 CRIMINAL PENALTIES AND REFERRAL TO PROSECUTOR

Civil adjudication under this Chapter shall not affect the Tribal Prosecutor&rsquos right to prosecute any criminal case which may arise under the same facts for which an order is sought under this Chapter. A criminal investigation and prosecution may occur concurrently with an investigation by Elder and Vulnerable Adult Services or civil proceeding under this Chapter.
