The Trial Court may issue subpoenas for the release of medical records and financial records upon request of the Attorney Generals Office. Such Motions shall receive expedited consideration by the Court in order to facilitate prompt investigation of reported Vulnerable Adult abuse. Motions for subpoenas may be upon affidavit and ex parte. Upon a showing of reasonable grounds to believe that Vulnerable Adult abuse or exploitation is occurring or has occurred the Court shall issue a subpoena. A subpoena issued under this section shall expire within ten (10) days unless renewed by the Court for good cause.
