The Tribal Legislative Body hereby declares that the complete reporting of child abuse is a matter of Tribal concern and that in enacting this Chapter it is the intent of the Tribe to protect the children within the jurisdiction of the Tribe and to offer protective services in order to prevent any further harm to a child suffering from abuse. It is the further intent of the Tribe that the various Federal, State and Tribal medical, mental health, education and social services agencies impacting on child welfare matters finds a common purpose through cooperative participation in the child protection teams created in this Chapter.
