Any person who shall, with intent to defraud, falsely sign, execute or alter any written instrument, or without authority sign the name of another, shall be deemed guilty of an offense and upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to labor or imprisonment for a period not to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days or a fine not to exceed Three Hundred Sixty Dollars ($360.00), or both.
